Traci Chester, LCSW
Often times the overwhelming stress of everyday life makes us want to blame everything and everyone. However, it is when we take the difficult step to be willing to work on ourselves that true growth and healing are possible. A necessary process for growth and healing to occur is to be understood and accepted. True acceptance of yourself and others is the key to healthy living. Improve your life, live happier, feel more successful, and achieve health by working together with me to reach your full potential.
As a General Practitioner, I have the opportunity to work with a diverse population experiencing a myriad of mental health issues. I also have specialization in Substance Abuse, Major Depression, Anxiety Disorders, PTSD, Bipolar Disorder, Concurrent Disorders, and Grief and Loss. My philosophy of care is based on the belief that individuals experiencing mental health issues can achieve recovery while engaged in intensive treatment with wrap around care. I am a client centered therapist who uses therapeutic techniques from several different models depending on the needs of the client.
I have been providing counseling services in North San Diego County for over thirty years. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW #20462, a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor and hold a Pupil Personnel Services Credential. I recently left a non-profit organization that provided services to low-income, severely mentally ill, families, and veterans, and I am excited about this new opportunity with HELP.
